After Dark, formally
Pleasures was originally opened in 1998 by Eric and Gary.
Their first store was located in Muncie IN, there was not a store like this in
Muncie at the time. Eric and Gary wanted to get away from the dirty
bookstore stigma that is normally associated with this type of store. They
made the shop bright with cheerful employees all tastefully done.

This store immediately became a success so in 2002 Eric and Gary found a
location in Anderson IN, After taking some time to get the Anderson store
established and stocked as well as their other store, they began looking for
another location.

They settled on a location in Marion, IN and opened their third store.
With hard work and determination Eric and Gary have accomplished having the
largest inventory in Indiana at all 3 of their stores. They continue to
listen to their customers and carry items that they desire, however each of
their stores only has so much square footage.
